Echoes of Service welcomes correspondence from readers, families, researchers, and community groups. This page explains how to reach us and what to include when you write.

We accept messages about editorial corrections, factual clarifications, and article identification. We do not operate a submission portal, a working contact form, or a phone line. Please write by email and allow reasonable time for a reply. A member of the editorial team reviews messages in the order they arrive.

When requesting a correction, identify the article precisely. Include the full headline, the URL, and the date of publication if it appears on the page. Then quote the passage you believe is inaccurate. Explain what you believe the record shows and how you know. Attach or link to supporting evidence such as a digitised document, a published source, a photograph with provenance, or a citation to an archive or record office.

If your request concerns a person named in an article, state your relationship to that person or your basis for knowledge. If you are writing on behalf of an organisation, identify the organisation and your role. We do not require personal details beyond what is needed to evaluate the request, and we do not publish reader contact information without permission.

We may correct, clarify, add context, or decline a request. When we make a change, we note the correction on the article page. We do not promise a private resolution to disputes of fact. Our aim is an accurate and accountable editorial record.

For all other messages, use the same address and place the article title in the subject line so the note reaches the right editor.
