Echoes of the Past began on July 4, 2005. My intention through starting this site is to recognize those who have paid the ultimate price defending our country. While the number as the header does not reflect the more than 1,900 lost since we invaded Iraq - nor those lost on 9/11, their sacrifices are no less important.

As we go through day to day life - trying to remember si411mple errands, or talking ourselves into getting up and going to work in the morning- these men and women are putting their lives on the line for our safety. They are trying to help bring justice to those who killed 3,309 citizens and soldiers on 9/11 who represented 83 countries around the world. The victims were only guilty 0f having done the same thing we are doing now ~ waking up and talking themselves into going to work.
As the days progress the numbers will change - but we can hope and pray for an end to the war. A chance to hope and pray for their safe return.
In the meantime I plan to and I hope you will join me in giving them continued support. Maybe we can collectively provide support for them and make the transition back into everyday American life.
